GREENWOOD- Mayor Mark Myers announced today that Indy Fuel owners Jim and Sean Hallett will invest $20,000,000 in an iceplex for the City of Greenwood. The facility will be located adjacent to the Freedom Springs aquatic center. The 115,000 sf facility will house two ice rinks, two turf fields, a fitness/training facility, retail space, locker rooms and food service facilities.

The facility will host public ice skating, figure skating, speed skating, curling, broom ball, and other ice sports in addition youth hockey leagues and tournaments.

This will be among the nation's largest youth hockey arenas. This type of amenity will attract many visitors as well as bring a high value to the quality of life for residents not only in Greenwood but all of Johnson County and the region.
