Sargent Aerospace and Defense Announces New Building Project
FRANKLIN, IN - Sargent Aerospace and Defense has announced plans to build a new 30,000-square-foot facility for its Airtomic division in the Franklin Business Park.
The company will move from its current location on Industrial Drive to the nearly doubled-sized building on Linville Way. The company will add 13 new jobs with an average salary of $24 per hour, and retain 24 current jobs. The total investment will be $3.4 million.
Sargent Aerospace said they have been very successful in Franklin since its startup in 2006, doubling and then tripling its business.
Company officials credited the city's development of Linville Way and proactively preparing for growth as the primary reason to stay in Franklin and relocate in the Franklin Business Park. The Johnson County Development Corporation has worked with the company through its expansions and now the new project.
